Summary
Mirael is designed as a local-first private journal. In the current version, your raw journal entries are stored on your device. Mirael does not require an account, does not run ads, and does not sell personal data.
Information You Add To The App
You may choose to create private entries that include free-form text, mood, tags, people labels, privacy level, and entry date and time.
This information is stored locally on your device. The current MVP does not upload raw entries to a Mirael server.
Local Storage And Protection
Mirael stores journal data on your device. On iOS, saved journal files are written with complete file protection where available, so iOS protects the file while the device is locked, subject to normal iOS data protection behavior.
If you enable app lock, Mirael uses Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode through Apple's system authentication. Mirael does not receive or store your biometric data.
Exports And Sharing
Mirael lets you export local JSON and generate weekly review cards. These actions happen only when you choose them.
Exported files, copied text, screenshots, or shared images may leave Mirael's local protection depending on where you save or send them.
Data Collection
- No account is required.
- No raw journal entries are sent to Mirael.
- No advertising SDK is included.
- No third-party analytics SDK is included.
- No data is sold.
- No cross-app tracking is performed.
Your Choices
- Delete individual entries in the app.
- Delete all local entries in Settings.
- Export your local entries as JSON.
- Disable app lock in Settings.
Deleting entries removes the local journal contents from this device. It does not delete copies you previously exported, shared, backed up, or stored elsewhere.
Children
Mirael is not intended for children under 13. The app is a private journaling and reflection tool for general audiences.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy as Mirael changes. If a future update adds cloud sync, account features, analytics, purchases, AI processing, or other data collection, this policy will be updated to describe those practices.
